“Airmen, Guardians and their families make sacrifices every day so we can continue to live freely,” he said. “While we will never be able to fully repay them, it’s important to back them to the best of our abilities.” he said.

Andrew is the transportation working capital fund facilities and infrastructure program manager with AFIMSC Detachment 9 at Scott AFB, Illinois, He supports the Air Mobility Command strategic airlift mission by providing program development and project execution oversight for real property assets worldwide.

“The best thing about this job is getting to work with en route personnel who may not have the support structure found at a typical Department of the Air Force installation,” he said. “I find great satisfaction when I’m able to provide resources that improve their ability to support the mission.”

His work with AMC will have a positive impact throughout the Department of the Air Force. Andrew helped formulate and publish AMC’s Fiscal Year 2025 Construction Task Order. The publication authorizes the advertising of 46 projects totaling $118 million. It was the final step in a yearlong process that helped the major command prioritize project requirements based on their mission impact.

While he said his proudest personal moments include marrying his wife and becoming a father to three children, his proudest career accomplishment is making the transition from the private sector to the Air Force.

Whether at work or home, he emphasizes the importance of appreciating the present instead of focusing on the future. Living every day by one mantra, “Be where your feet are,” helps Andrew do what he enjoys most: serving those who serve.
