Outdoor Recreation Training Beta Test

Participants and instructors in the new outdoor recreation programmers course bike in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The new 14-day, in-residence course was tested at the U.S. Air Force Academy July 30 – Aug. 12, by representatives from 10 installations. The new course is set to be delivered to installation outdoor rec employees in 2024 and covers swift water rescue, mountain biking, climbing, wilderness first aid and Leave No Trace. It’s Mission Monday. Meet Master Sgt. Matthew Kline, an action officer in the Air Force Security Forces Center’s Law and Order Division. Kline and his teammates develop and deliver law enforcement capabilities to the Air Force Security Forces enterprise of more 43,000 total force Airmen worldwide. “I manage criminal history reporting and indexing, as well as the Defense Forensic Management Equipment and Evidence Management Program for 168 Air Force installations,” he said. Meet Gabriel Perez, a heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment specialist with the Air Force Civil Engineer Center’s Operations Directorate.
