The Small Business Innovation Research program identifies small businesses that can provide a solution to the warfighter in a faster, more efficient manner than was presently available. The program reduces barriers and accelerates processes, seeding the future of the Air Force through innovation and forward-thinking technology.
Through a competitive awards-based program, the SBIR program enables small businesses to explore their technological potential and provides the incentive to profit from its commercialization. If selected for a SBIR contract, small businesses may be looking for an Air Force customer.
