Joseph S. Hockaday is the Director of AFIMSC Detachment 7, Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA), Randolph, Texas. Mr. Hockaday serves as the senior AFIMSC respresentative to both HQ AETC MAJCOM and Installation leadership where he promotes and synchronizes AFIMSC enterprise unity of effort. Mr. Hockaday delivers globally integrated management, resourcing, combat support programs and services in the major mission areas of: Airmen and family support services, chaplain, communications, civil engineering, contracting, public affairs, financial management, logistics readiness, and security forces to enhance warfighter readiness and lethality.
Mr. Hockaday served on active duty in the United States Air Force prior to entering Federal Civil Service. Mr. Hockaday has held numerous base level, Major Command, and Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) positions.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Hockaday served as Director of the 802d Civil Engineer Squadron, JBSA-Randolph, Texas. His squadron consisted of 229 authorized personnel who provided full-spectrum facilities engineering, environmental program management, and housing support across the JBSA enterprise.
