Colonel MARTIN J. PANTAZÉ

Colonel Martin J. Pantazé serves as Commander, Detachment 10, Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. He is the AFIMSC Commander’s senior representative to Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command and is responsible for synchronizing installation and mission support to enable AFGSC missions. He leads a team of subject matter experts from civil engineering, security forces, logistics readiness, communications and financial management that advocates for and resources AFGSC’s I&MS requirements. “Striker Det 10” directly supports the 33,000 members assigned to the major command’s two numbered air forces, eight installations, nine wings and associated units representing the nation’s bomber fleet, nuclear ICBM force, and other specialized nuclear and host-wing capabilities.

Colonel Pantazé entered active duty in 1998 after receiving a commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corps at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He has commanded units stateside and overseas at the squadron and group levels and served in a variety of squadron-level, major command, Headquarters Air Force, and joint assignments. He has deployed nine times, executed operations in thirteen countries, and has contingency experience with explosive ordnance disposal, two provincial reconstruction teams, Army and Navy special forces, United States Central Command, and Special Operations Command.

Prior to his current position, he served as the associate director for the AFGSC Logistics and Engineering Directorate.
