The Air Force Services Center continues to implement its Healthy Food Initiative (HFI) Food 2.0 program to provide improved food options for Airmen and Guardians across the enterprise. The initiative, which includes modernizing dining facilities and new menu options, celebrated its latest grand opening, the Warrior Inn Dining Facility at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington. Fairchild’s Warrior Inn closed last year for a $3.3 million renovation and upgrade. New items at the Warrior Inn include favorite cook-to-order items and rotating comfort food specials. The Air Force Services Center continues to implement its Healthy Food Initiative (HFI) Food 2.0 program as it celebrated the latest grand opening, the Warrior Inn Dining Facility at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington. The Fairchild location, operated by the 92nd Force Support Squadron, is one of 47 food and beverage operations at 26 installations running under the Air Force’s Food 2.0 program. Food 2.0 brings healthier dining options to Seymour-Johnson

Seymour-Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina, is the latest installation to implement the Food 2.0 initiative to offer healthier options to customers with the reopening of two renovated dining facilities on 29 Oct. The Food 2.0 style of service gives patrons at Seymour-Johnson and other installations “finish in front” service stations, technology advancements, and robust self-serve breakfast yogurt, salad bar and “grab & go” meal and snack options. AFIMSC engineer honored with Bronze Star

Maj. Gen. Tom Wilcox, Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center commander, stand with Capt. Shane Lockridge after awarding the Bronze Star to him at a commander’s call Feb. 13. Lockridge received the award for his performance as director of operations and engineer advisor for Operation Freedom’s Sentinel in Kandahar, Afghanistan, from March 2018 to February 2019.
