AFCEC Members receive Federal Energy Management Program awards members

Micheal Zapata, division chief for energy program execution at Air Force Office of Energy Assurance, was recently selected for FEMP’s Professional Achievement Award for directing and overseeing the construction of the first-ever liquified natural gas storage plant for the Department of Defense at Misawa Air Base, Japan, and led largest ERCIP project in his program, for construction of a water treatment plant establishing long-term and sustainable water supply from the Snake River to Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho.
