CBRN validation exercise
Senior Airman Raymond Duenas, 786th Civil Engineer Squadron, Ramstein Air Base, Germany, was one of 40 emergency management (EM) Airmen who took part in a two-week chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear validation exercise (CBRN VALEX) earlier this year to provide realistic wartime CBRN response training. This included Spot, a robotic dog platform equipped with CBRN sensors designed to inspect potentially dangerous locations for EM Airmen. The event was developed and organized by the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center's Air Force Civil Engineer Center, (U.S. Air Force photo)
