MOPP gear on
U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Tiffany Eustice, a 35th Civil Engineer Squadron emergency manager, puts on mission oriented protective posture gear at Misawa Air Base, Japan, Nov. 12, 2020. Airmen are exposed to high heat stress environments while in MOPP gear and this vest worn underneath the gear allows for constant cooling of the Airmen’s core temperature. In response to the MOPP gear areas of improvement, RINI Technologies, a company that provides innovative solutions to thermal-management challenges out of Florida, submitted a proposal for a MOPP cooling system that cools down the vest while being worn.
