The Beachcombers
A 381st Training Group student cuts the ribbon to officially reopen The Beachcombers dining facility at Vandenberg AFB, California, Aug. 6, 2020. Beachcombers, which caters to Air Education and Training Command students and cadre, was given a $650,000 renovation and upgrade to bring it in line with the Air Force’s Food 2.0 style of service with “finish in front” service stations, technology advancements and large, robust self-serve breakfast yogurt, salad bar and “grab & go” meal and snack options. The Air Force now has 25 installations under the program, managed by the Air Force Services Center. (U.S. Air Force photo by Dakota Lapioli)
