J-bear tracking
A black bear cub climbs a tree while its mother observes from the ground at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, April 16, 2018. According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game there are an estimated 100,000 black bears in Alaska. Black bears are the more abundant and widely distributed of the three species in North America.
