Doolittle Raiders Final Toast
James Bower, son of Doolittle Raider Col. Bill Bower, led attendees in a toast during the Doolittle Raiders “Final Toast” at the Dakota’s Club at Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D., April 18, 2014. Bower recounted the 72 year old seminal event, in which the Doolittle Raiders flew 16 B-25s to the coast of Japan to attack the Japanese empire in defense of the nation.
