Kwami Penty and his family watch as Staff Sgt. Benjamin Rodriguez, 11th Security Support Squadron military working dog handler, releases his dog as part of the “Pilot for a Day” program at Joint Base Andrews, Md., Oct. 6, 2016. The MWD demonstration was one of many activities held in honor of Kwami, a child being treated for a serious illness at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. The event is held biannually to indulge children like Kwami in their interest in aviation. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Jordyn Fetter)
