Community Commons brings activities for Airmen under one roof
The Community Commons initiative provided Joint Base Andrews an opportunity to upgrade its library services, said Col. Dean Hartman, the former mission support group commander who is now the planning and integration director for the Air Force Civil Engineer Center. The library has a study area, a children’s reading room and a computer room. “All of those things manifested into a more modern library, and you saw patronage jump about 100 percent as soon as it opened,” Hartman said.
