Defenders stand guard in honor of fallen during Police Week
Tech. Sgt. Shawn Rankins, 379th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron Check Six Team, begins an active shooter exercise with Army Soldiers May 5, 2016, at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. Staff Sgt. Joseph Brock, also from the 379th ESFS, portrayed the shooter and wore a red padded suit to protect himself from Soldiers’ physical retaliation as Tech. Sgt. Scott Carpenter, 379th ESFS, strikes two pieces of wood together to simulate gun shots. Check Six teaches Airmen to be aware of their surroundings at all times, and most importantly how to defend themselves and others in the event a hostile threat occurs.
