Advanced culinary skills

From left, Staff Sgts. Shantavis Hightower and Jacquelyne Ford take a quick break from cooking to pose for the camera. Hightower and Ford are part of a 12-person Air Force team from across the service that earned an Advanced Culinary Skills certification Oct. 9, from the Culinary Institute of America’s San Antonio campus. The week-long course is one of six offered through a cooperative agreement between the university and the Air Force. The program, which is managed by the Air Force Services Activity, gives active-duty Air Force and NAF employees the opportunity to hone their skills and learn new ways to improve business operations and efficiency in the kitchen.
