Teen aviation camper returns to USAFA as freshman

Teen Aviation Camper Matthew Carter, second row, far left, returned to the U.S. Air Force Academy two years later and graduated from Basic Cadet Training Aug. 4, 2015, at USAFA in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Now a freshman cadet fourth class, Carter attended on-site camp in 2013 for youth exploring the academy as an option for college and a path to a military commission. "Before coming to the Academy, I had been pretty much convinced that I should go to a regular university and do ROTC," said Carter. "After my visit to the Academy, I did not have any doubts. When I left, I planned to return in two years." (Submitted photo/RELEASED)
