The Air Force Services Activity has declared February Air Force Clubs membership appreciation month.

Every day during the month, Air Force Clubs will randomly select 10 members to receive prizes.  Additionally, on Feb.  29, one lucky club member will be able to “Leap into a Jeep” as the winner of a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Two other club members will each receive $2,500.

No action is necessary on the part of club members; this drawing is simply part of the Air Force club tradition to provide membership value.  All members as of Jan. 25, 2016, are automatically entered.

“We wanted to do something to show our members how much we appreciate them” said Col. Mike Lamb, director of operations with the Air Force Services Activity.

Every day, starting Feb. 1, the AFSVA will randomly draw 10 names. Nine members will win a $25 Force Support Squadron gift card and one member will win $100 cash. Names of winner will be posted at www.myairforcelife.com/membershiprewards.

In addition, on Feb. 10, 17 and 24, the name of one club member will be drawn and selected as a finalist for the 2016 Grand Prize Jeep. On Feb. 29, the three finalists will be in the Jeep drawing in San Antonio, Texas. Each of them will be given a number that represents one of three keys. The Jeep will be awarded to the owner of the key that starts the vehicle.  The other two finalists will each win $2,500.

The Jeep winner is responsible for tax, title, licensing and insurance. The Air Force Services Activity will make shipping arrangements with the winner, if required.

“Members can only win a $100 cash prize or $25 FSS gift card once,” said Jon Boyd, Chief of AFSVA’s NAF Food & Beverage Operations Branch. “But there’s no need to worry, even members who win one of those prizes still have a shot at the Jeep, as all club member names go back into the pool for the Jeep and the $2,500.”

Winners will be randomly selected based on club membership card numbers; the numbers will be matched to the person’s name. Drawings will be supervised by a representative from the AFSVA Judge Advocate Office.
