Voting online for the Air Force Entertainer of the Year will end midnight Sept. 30. Airmen and the public, alike, should cast their vote before then to see which of the winners of Mission Audition, Operation Talent Search and #VocalUpload programs gets top honors and a grand prize worth more than $5,000.

Mission Audition winner Senior Airman Javier Rodriguez, 100th Security Forces Squadron at RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom; Operation Talent Search winner Angela Paraino, daughter of Master Sgt. Robert McNeill, 35th Medical Support Squadron, Misawa AB, Japan; and #VocalUpload winner Tech. Sgt. Robert Carter, 531st Intelligence Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, are competing for the top spot and need voters to log on to www.MyAirForceLife.com and choose the performer they think deserves to win.

“This is the first year we’ve had one single entertainer of the year,” said Tom Edwards, chief of Air Force Entertainment at Air Force Services Activity, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. “We’ve had previous competitions for family and service members, but we wanted to have a competition so the best of the best could represent the Air Force at special performances over the next year. So, when we say we have an Air Force Entertainer of the Year, that picks up a kind of ‘wow’ factor.”

The grand prize winner receives a studio recording session and a five-day, four-night trip for three to Los Angeles, Las Vegas or New York City worth $5,000. All contestants get to keep and use the professional video produced for the voting portion of the competition, in addition to the prize each has already received as winners of their individual category.

To cast your vote, visit http://www.myairforcelife.com/entertainer before midnight, Sept. 30, or visit www.MyAirForceLife.com for more information about Air Force Services Activity.
