JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas – It’s Mission Monday! This week we highlight Teresa “Teri” Dupriest, functional lead for Air Force Civil Engineer Center’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal Information Management System.
Dupriest has a passion for protecting our warfighters and providing the intelligence community with invaluable resources.
She took some time to tell us more about her mission.
Why did you join the Air Force?
To serve and to make a positive impact.
When it comes to your job, what keeps you motivated?
Protecting warfighters and national security.
Why are you and your team important to the Department of the Air Force?
We maintain a system that is integral to capturing and disseminating information supporting the safety of the EOD warfighter as well as contributing to national security.
Describe a project/event you and your team worked on recently that gave you a great sense of accomplishment:
(We) deployed the Joint EOD Very Important Persons Protective Service tasking capability. We received recognition and a thank you from the U.S. North Command Joint Task Force branch chief on how their mission would have failed during the 2024 presidential election without the tasking mission tracking capability. Prior to VIPPSA they had a manual, time-consuming process. By saving those manhours, VIPPSA freed task force personnel to provide more protection.
How does what you do support the warfighter and DAF installations?
EODIMS not only performs post mission reporting but also supports Technical Intelligence and Measurement and Signature Intelligence collections. The system also directly informs commanders, leaders and intelligence community partners at all echelons to make data driven decisions based on collections from warfighters.
I power the world’s greatest Air Force by…
… Ensuring the Joint EODIMS functions optimally for the warfighter and intelligence agencies with uninterrupted availability on secure and non-secure computer networks and Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System.
