Duty title and unit: Operations Support Division Chief, AFIMSC Detachment 1, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado

Primary duty responsibilities: I provide civil engineering operations liaison support to CE operations flights and manage engineering and installation work plans for Air Force bases. I also provide daily communication and information technology support to the commander.

What’s the best part of your job?
Being on an awesome, hard-working team.

What’s a recent project that gave you a great sense of accomplishment?
Defining how the Air Force will provide installation and mission support to the U.S. Space Force and working to right size the detachment for the future.

Any claims to fame?
I led the 554th RED HORSE Squadron in hosting the first multi-nation silver flag class at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. The class included U.S. Air Force, Republic of Korea Air Force, Japanese Air Self Defense Force and Royal Australian Air Force students. I also led RAAF logistics advisors in guiding an Afghan logistics squadron’s migration to a modern electronic tracking/management and approval process.

Do you follow any mantra?
Take care of the people so they can take care of the mission.

Which AFIMSC value do you identify with the most and why?
Trust & Transparency. Trust is important to our profession – behind a desk or in the field. Trust our troops to do what is right and to get the job done. Trust our leaders to make the right decision. Transparency is part of trust. We must be transparent in what we do so that there is no ambiguity, confusion, which can lead to lack of trust.
