Air Force installs system to protect drinking water near Luke AFB
Contractors deliver tanks for a new ion-exchange water filtration system at the Valley Utilities Water Company’s Bethany Hills Well Yard outside of Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. The filtration system, installed in mid-May, has resulted in PFOS/PFOA levels below the Environmental Protection Agency’s lifetime health advisories in drinking water supplied to more than 1,600 addresses outside of Luke AFB.
