Vouionette Burns-Harris is the Acting Director of Manpower and Personnel, Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. In this capacity, she serves as the principal advisor to AFIMSC’s senior leadership and is responsible for the coordinated management of manpower, personnel programs, strategic planning, and human resource process improvement initiatives impacting approximately 4,000 civilian and military personnel stationed at 77 locations worldwide.
Prior to this assignment, Ms. Burns-Harris held a variety of key human resources roles within the Department of Defense, with experience spanning both intermediate headquarters and installation levels, including overseas assignments. Notably, she served as the Director of Personnel for the 66th Force Support Squadron, 66th Air Base Group, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts. In this role, she provided strategic human resources guidance to the 66th ABG, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center directorates, multiple program executive offices, and over 300 tenant organizations and geographically separated units across the New England and New York region.
