Colonel NICHOLE K.A. SCOTT

Col. Nichole K.A. Scott is the Commander of Detachment 9, Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill. She is responsible for synchronizing installation and mission support capabilities, to include oversight, guidance, training, and resources, in support of 70,000 personnel in 17 wings under Headquarters Air Mobility Command. Additionally, she manages personnel readiness, mission support manpower, financial services and resources, installation engineering, physical security, and base communications plant maintenance for the support of more than $24 billion in facilities and infrastructure at 23 continental U.S. and overseas en route locations in support of AMC and Air Force transportations strategic airlift missions.

Colonel Scott entered the Air Force in July 1998 as a graduate of the Reserve Officers Training Corps program at the Illinois Institute of Technology. She is a career Civil Engineering officer with multiple deployments in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM and OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM. She has held multiple staff and base level assignments. She also served as a Political Affairs Strategist at the U.S. Pacific Command. She was a deployed squadron commander of the 386th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait. Her second squadron command was the 375th Civil Engineer Squadron at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.

She is a licensed engineer in the state of Georgia. Prior to her current assignment, Colonel Scott was the Commander of the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 880 at Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia.
