Colonel ANTHONY S. FIGIERA

Colonel Anthony S. Figiera is the Director of Operations (A3), Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. In this role, he executes current operations and integrates efforts across AFIMSC, including four primary subordinate units, four headquarters directorates and 10 detachments, to support enterprise-level execution of installation and mission support resources. He leads more than 180 Airmen who provide readiness and functional manager support to 92,000 I&MS Airmen across 83 bases.  The A3 coordinates development and operation of Combat Support Training Ranges to deliver Airmen readiness training, assists commanders in directing and controlling current operations, and creates mission-type orders ensuring unity of effort and integration across the formation.

Colonel Figiera entered active duty in June 1997 after graduating from the Reserve Officers' Training Corps program at Syracuse University. A career Civil Engineer officer, he has held numerous positions within the field, including three command assignments. He also deployed four times in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM IRAQI FREEDOM, ENDURING SENTINAL and SPARTAN SHIELD.
