BRYAN M. GILLESPIE

Bryan Gillespie is Deputy and Technical Director, Air Force Security Forces Center (AFSFC), Joint Base San Antonio - Lackland, Texas. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of AFSFC, which includes four Air Staff level directorates and three geographically separated ground combat training and corrections detachments. The overall staff function of the AFSFC is to organize, train and equip over 40,000 security forces members in the active and Air Reserve Component. The organization is manned by security forces, intelligence, office of special investigations, explosives ordnance disposal, aviators, communications, and engineering specialists. The mission of AFSFC is developing and delivering Force Protection combat support across the Air Force Enterprise, to improve the ability of the Air Force to execute its core competencies and joint war fighting mission.
 
Mr. Gillespie earned his commission from the Air Force Officer Training School in 1994 as a distinguished graduate. He is a veteran of OPERATION DESERT SHIELD, DESERT STORM, DESERT CALM, ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM. Prior to his current position, Mr. Gillespie served as Director, Logistics Directorate, AFSFC, JBSA-Lackland, TX.
 
Mr. Gillespie has extensive security forces experience both as an active-duty officer, contractor and civilian. He has held several positions within AFSFC including Technical Advisor, Operations and Training Directorate, and Technical Advisor and Director, Logistics Directorate.
