AFMC launches new holistic resiliency effort

The Air Force Materiel Command has launched a new initiative that aims to increase unit cohesion and connectedness by emphasizing a culture that holistically builds mental, physical, social and spiritual fitness across the enterprise. Driven by the Air Force Resilience Tactical Pause held in fall 2019, the AFMC Connect effort focuses on the importance relationships and communication in a resilient culture. Monthly training topics with tools and implementation guidance center on deliberate, leader-driven meaningful discussions.

AFMC standardizes on-boarding, civilian acculturation

New civilian employees can expect to get on the job faster as a result of a new, standardized Air Force Materiel Command Civilian Acculturation Program. The acculturation program aims to decrease on-boarding time while increasing effectiveness, ultimately setting employees up for success.

AFMC seeks innovative ideas through Ideascale Campaign

To support the drive to deliver what the Air Force needs at the speed of relevance, Airmen and civilians from across the Air Force Materiel Command enterprise are invited to submit innovative ideas and solutions to improve the AFMC mission through the U.S Air Force Ideation Platform, or Ideascale, now through September 2020.

AFMC command team to host virtual town hall

The Air Force Materiel Command Commander Gen. Arnold W. Bunch, Jr., along with AFMC Command Chief Master Sgt. Stanley Cadell, host a command-wide virtual town hall Feb. 3, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. ET. The town hall will stream live on the AFMC Facebook page with opportunities for participants from across the command to submit questions to leadership both prior to and during the event for response on topics of interest and concern.

AFMC to host Virtual Career Fair

The Air Force Materiel Command, in conjunction with the Air Force Personnel Center, will host a Virtual Career Fair Dec. 17, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. EST. The event will focus on filling more than 100 vacancies across the command in career fields to include contracting, financial management, force support, information technology, intelligence, logistics, medical, program management, public affairs, safety and security.
