Agile contracting team delivers COVID-19 protection to Airmen

Air Force Installation Contracting Center’s contracting experts -- teaming with colleagues at all levels -- showed agility and innovation in response to the COVID-19 pandemic when they quickly got cloth protective masks in the hands of Airmen and their families. It's a great example of how Airmen are keeping the Air Force lethal and mission ready. Following the release of a Secretary of Defense April 5 memo on the use of cloth face coverings on Defense Department property, Air Force contracting offices went to work and had a blanket purchase agreement in place April 9.

Keep Calm and Cope with COVID

Stress and anxiety serve a purpose. These emotions are your body’s way of alerting you to a threat, calling you to action! Here’s the basics: wash your hands often and well, avoid touching your face, practice physical distancing, cough and sneeze into the inside of your elbow, and wear a protective facial covering when physical distancing cannot be maintained. If you’re doing these things, there’s nothing else for you to do to prevent the spread. But what do you do when your stress and anxiety are no longer serving you and, instead, causing more problems?
