JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas – The Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center released a strategic plan April 9, outlining priorities and associated goals the center is pursuing to optimize delivery of installation and mission support to the Air Force and Space Force.

“Everyone in our organization can see themselves somewhere in the goals we’re pursuing. They are the core of our mission,” said Maj. Gen. Tom Wilcox, AFIMSC commander, in the plan foreword. “When we achieve them, we’ll move on to new goals and the cycle of continuous improvement and pursuit of excellence will continue.”

The plan identifies three major areas, or Lines of Effort, of mission focus: increase lethality and readiness; strengthen Airmen and families; and pursue organizational excellence. The LOEs and their 16 goals align with Air Force Materiel Command’s strategic LOEs, which dovetail into the Department of Air Force priorities.

In line with the AFIMSC’s value of Trust and Transparency, the center is also committed to sharing regular updates with stakeholders, customers and the center workforce, Wilcox said.

“We’ve designed this guide to be a living document. We’ll update the status of our progress on a quarterly basis and will push related products out that keep these critical LOEs and their execution in front of our team and our customers.”
