Maintaining fitness goals with Ramstein classes
A member of the Kaiserslautern Military Community participates in a class at the Southside Fitness Center at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Nov. 29, 2016. Alongside classes, the 786th FSS is also taking registrations for the annual Biggest Loser challenge starting Dec. 12 and ending Jan. 6. The challenge tasks participants to earn as many points as possible over a period of time via taking part in classes and events. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, less than 5 percent of adults participate in 30 minutes of physical activity each day and only 1-in-3 adults receive the recommended amount of physical activity each week. Recent reports project that by 2030, half of all U.S. adults, approximately 115 million, will be obese. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Lane T. Plummer)
