JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas – “Forget the day’s troubles. Remember the day’s blessings.”
That’s the mantra of Master Sgt. Diamond Wilkins. The command operations manager for AFIMSC Detachment 4 at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, always strives to be mindful of the positive and express gratitude for the little things.
“It’s the little ripples that make big waves,” she said.
The first in her family to join the military, Diamond has spent most of her career in Europe activating and managing civil engineer command and control centers, processing work requirements, managing CE material acquisitions and maintaining accountability of resources.
“The Air Force has granted me the opportunity to live in some amazing places; I am grateful for that,” she said.
Today, she provides functional expertise to operations flights across U.S. Air Forces in Europe. She supports the theater-wide deployment and implementation of TRIRIGA, the single platform for managing CE programs such as real property, cost accounting, work and project management, material control and energy management. She also reviews and coordinates performance work statements for base operating support contracts and conducts staff assistance visits. Diamond recently served as the face of AFIMSC support to USAFE after the detachment worked with the center’s Installation Support Directorate to save several million dollars on base maintenance contract costs in England. She represented the center on a contract control plan tour in the country, answered questions and helped with processes on site.
“To me, this is the epitome of promoting unity of effort and serving as a conduit for support to the Air Force installation and mission support community,” she said.
