JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas – Members of the Defense Department can view a live stream of the 2021 Installation and Mission Support Weapons and Tactics Conference outbriefs held April 21 at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.

The virtual presentation takes place from 8 a.m. to noon (CDT) and can be accessed with a valid DOD Common Access Card at MAWG Outbrief Live Stream.

Hosted by the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center, the annual conference is the Air Force’s premiere innovation forum for members of the installation and mission support community. It draws experts from the various Air and Space Force support core functions to address mission shortfalls and propose solutions.

Except for 2020, AFIMSC has held I-WEPTAC annually since 2017 to leverage the expertise of Airmen who form cross-functional teams called Mission Area Working Groups. MAWG team members study, develop and recommend courses of action for specific mission topics.

Those who attend the virtual event will see, firsthand, the four teams present Air Force senior leaders with their solutions to some of the Air and Space Force’s most pressing Agile Combat Support challenges.

This year’s topics are:

  • Right Size the Foundation: Optimize Installation & Mission Support for the Air Force We Need
  • Strategic Mission Dependency Index for Targeted National Defense Strategy Investment
  • Supply Chain Vulnerabilities in the Future “Way We Fight”
  • Institutionalize Readiness as a Foundational Competency to Develop Mission-Ready Airmen
