Application deadlines approaching for Air Force youth camps

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas – The summer adventure season is about to start, and there’s still time for Air Force youth to apply for more than 20 camps available at locations across the United States.


The 2018 Air Force Youth Program camps cover a wide variety of interests, including robotics, three leadership programs, and five space exploration and science programs. Sport camps include basketball, baseball, soccer, softball and volleyball.


The Air Force Services Activity sponsors the camps and funds lodging and meals. Travel costs are covered for the leadership summits only. Eligibility is based on dependency status, age and grade level.

Applications for the leadership summits, aviation and space camps are due no later than May 11. All sport camp applications are due no later than May 18.
