Patrick SFB team wins DAF-wide FM innovation competition
Honorable Dave Weinberg, Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Financial Management and Comptroller, presents the first-place trophy for the 2026 FM Innovation Rodeo to Tech. Sgt. Abraham Sackor of the 45th Comptroller Squadron from Patrick Space Force Base, Florida, May 27 at an event in Orlando. The trio of Senior Airman Gavin Etson, Airman 1st Class Tess Penry and Sackor won for their “Power Automate Workflow for a Paperless Air Force” innovation. It’s a fully digital military pay cycle management system that uses Microsoft programs resident on Department of the Air Force computers that eliminates the need for finance specialists to print, physically route, file and store paper products.
