The new Simply to go station in The Beachcombers dining facility at Vandenberg AFB, California, is just one of the many new options for customers at the base’s training complex. Beachcombers, which caters to Air Education and Training Command students and cadre, was given a $650,000 renovation and upgrade to bring it in line with the Air Force’s Food 2.0 style of service with “finish in front” service stations, technology advancements and large, robust self-serve breakfast yogurt, salad bar and “grab & go” meal and snack options.
