WEBVTT 00:03.619 --> 00:05.675 Because combat sport training ranges 00:05.675 --> 00:07.508 take units and put them in field 00:07.508 --> 00:09.452 conditions , uh , certainly it's a 00:09.452 --> 00:11.880 training environment , but it simulates 00:11.880 --> 00:14.079 real world expeditionary scenarios and 00:14.079 --> 00:16.246 so we have the opportunity with sister 00:16.246 --> 00:18.135 events to test this expeditionary 00:18.135 --> 00:19.968 equipment and new concepts . Two 00:19.968 --> 00:22.023 examples of that is the Jack's Field 00:22.023 --> 00:24.023 feeding system . It is a new , um , 00:24.079 --> 00:26.920 deployable kitchen feeding equipment 00:26.920 --> 00:28.739 set . Uh , that has been under 00:28.739 --> 00:30.850 development for several years but has 00:30.850 --> 00:33.017 never had operational testing and so , 00:33.017 --> 00:35.239 uh , seeing this sister event team took 00:35.239 --> 00:37.406 advantage of that to be able to put it 00:37.406 --> 00:39.628 out here and utilize the air task force 00:39.628 --> 00:41.739 during their training scenario to put 00:41.739 --> 00:43.906 actual hands on and airmen through the 00:43.906 --> 00:46.017 paces and understand the capabilities 00:46.017 --> 00:45.540 and gaps so that we can feel it for 00:45.540 --> 00:48.299 future forces . This is the Air Force's 00:48.299 --> 00:51.200 new field feeding platform is a single 00:51.200 --> 00:53.200 pallet field feeding kitchen that's 00:53.200 --> 00:55.256 going to be coming online within the 00:55.256 --> 00:57.256 next few years . Uh , this is . The 00:57.256 --> 00:59.422 joint air transportable container rice 00:59.422 --> 01:01.422 kitchen system and it is coming out 01:01.422 --> 01:03.422 after a 4 year research development 01:03.422 --> 01:03.395 test and evaluation process from Nake , 01:03.435 --> 01:05.602 Massachusetts down here at Tindall Air 01:05.602 --> 01:07.824 Force Base . Right now the Jack is here 01:07.824 --> 01:09.991 as an option for the uh combat support 01:09.991 --> 01:12.235 training range , uh , really 300 level 01:12.235 --> 01:14.665 training that's going on here . Uh , 01:14.675 --> 01:16.675 the Jack is really here to test and 01:16.675 --> 01:18.786 validate , um , the capabilities that 01:18.786 --> 01:20.897 are associated it in terms of feeding 01:20.897 --> 01:22.953 output as well as power requirements 01:22.953 --> 01:25.008 for , uh , for the asset to actually 01:25.008 --> 01:26.786 operate . In terms of the water 01:26.786 --> 01:28.731 purification system . Uh , that is 01:28.731 --> 01:30.786 something that the ATF identified as 01:30.786 --> 01:32.786 something that they wanted to bring 01:32.786 --> 01:34.675 here . Uh , they reached out to a 01:34.675 --> 01:37.190 vendor , um , and identified , uh , a 01:37.190 --> 01:39.050 way to bring that vendor here to 01:39.050 --> 01:41.161 showcase this potential expeditionary 01:41.161 --> 01:43.161 capability tested in the field just 01:43.161 --> 01:45.272 like we're doing with the jack system 01:45.272 --> 01:47.439 here we are training the rest of the , 01:47.439 --> 01:49.661 uh , career fields within the Air Force 01:49.661 --> 01:49.550 like your security forces members , 01:49.669 --> 01:51.830 your MO , your cyber , your ISR 01:51.830 --> 01:53.830 intelligence folks . We're teaching 01:53.830 --> 01:55.941 them the basics , uh , nomenclature . 01:55.941 --> 01:58.108 And how the system runs up to where if 01:58.108 --> 02:00.274 we did get put in a situation to where 02:00.274 --> 02:02.441 we would need to utilize those members 02:02.441 --> 02:04.497 to help us get this up and running , 02:04.497 --> 02:06.608 it's not their first time seeing it , 02:06.608 --> 02:08.608 so I use those two examples just to 02:08.608 --> 02:10.830 show that Sister provides an incredible 02:10.830 --> 02:10.559 platform where you have simulated 02:10.559 --> 02:12.670 expeditionary environment with a team 02:12.880 --> 02:15.360 doing expeditionary bed down and 02:15.360 --> 02:18.039 sustainment tasks . Uh , it's a great 02:18.039 --> 02:20.520 platform for potentially testing other 02:20.520 --> 02:23.080 new expeditionary technology and 02:23.080 --> 02:23.759 capabilities .
