Brigadier General Patrick G. Miller

Brig. Gen. Patrick G. Miller is the Commander, Air Force Civil Engineer Center, Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. As AFCEC commander, he leads a 2,200-person organization, responsible for providing responsive, flexible, full-spectrum installation engineering services. AFCEC missions include facility investment planning, design and construction, operations support, real property management and oversight, energy support, environmental compliance and restoration, and readiness and emergency management. The unit conducts its operations at more than 72 locations worldwide. He also directly oversees execution of a more than $3 billion annual operations budget, delivery of the $3 billion annual Military Construction Program and management of the $13 billion military housing portfolio.

Brig. Gen. Miller entered the Air Force in December 1997 as a distinguished graduate of the Reserve Officer Training Corps at Pennsylvania State University. A career civil engineer, he has served at six base-level assignments, as a course director and instructor at the Civil Engineer and Services School, at Air Staff and Air Mobility Command headquarters, and as the Vice Commander for the Air Force Installations and Mission Support Center.

His expeditionary experience includes five deployments to various locales. His commands include the 628th Civil Engineer Squadron, 474th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, 6th Mission Support Group, Task Force Phoenix, and 88th Air Base Wing. Prior to his current assignment, the general was the Director, Logistics, Engineering and Force Protection, Headquarters Pacific Air Forces, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.
