Gerald Jolivette

Gerard Jolivette is Deputy Commander of Headquarters Air Force Security Forces Center, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas.  He is responsible to the Center Commander for the day-to-day operation of AFSFC, which includes four Air Staff level directorates and three geographically separated ground combat training and corrections detachments. The overall staff function of AFSFC is to organize, train and equip over 40,000 security forces members in the active and air reserve component.  The organization is manned by security forces, intelligence, office of special investigations, explosives ordnance disposal, aviators, communications, and engineering specialist. The mission includes developing and delivering force protection combat support across the Air Force enterprise, to improve the ability of the Air Force to  execute its core competencies and joint war fighting mission.

His career as a security forces officer spans over 40 years of experience formulating policy for the protection of command resources; installation law enforcement; information, personnel and industrial security; combat arms training and maintenance and equipping, training and deploying Security Forces worldwide.  He is a combat veteran with four tours as commander at the squadron and group level. He served as Director of Force Protection, U.S. Central Air Forces, Air Education and Training Command, Randolph Air Force Base, Texas, Deputy Director of Security Forces, U.S. Air Forces in Europe, Office of the Directorate of Security Forces, served three tours on the Air Staff and four MAJCOM tours. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Quantico VA.
