AFIMSC unveils new mission, vision

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas – AFIMSC Commander Maj. Gen. Tom Wilcox unveiled the wing’s new mission and vision statements March 3. 

“Time to update your slide deck … it’s official,” Wilcox said in an email to the AFIMSC workforce. “We have new mission and vision statements. After all your inputs and discussions, we updated the statements to reflect the feedback we received from you in multiple forums over the last 6 months.”

AFIMSC MISSION: Deliver globally integrated installation and mission support to enhance warfighter readiness and lethality for America’s Air and Space Forces.

AFIMSC VISION: One integrated AFIMSC team revolutionizing combat power and installation support for Airmen and families.

In addition to the new mission and vision statements, AFIMSC leaders later defined the center’s values and began shaping the center’s priorities which link to the Air Force Materiel Command strategy and Air Force priorities:
